Scott Trestik has been in the construction industry for over 25 years. As the son of a Civil Engineer, he has been around the building trades his entire life. After graduating from Long Beach State University with a degree in Construction Engineering Management, Mr. Trestik went to work for a large construction company in 1994. He was immediately assigned to several large retail and restaurant building projects, and has been building in this niche ever since.
In 2004, Mr. Trestik left the large construction company to start up his own firm. While President and Co-Founder of Trestik Harty, Mr. Trestik built over 100 restaurants and retail tenant improvements reaching peak sales of $15M in 2006. In 2009, he partnered with Fred Siino to establish Pacific Contracting Group with the vision of creating a cutting edge construction firm specializing in restaurant and retail development.
Among the many restaurant clients that Mr. Trestik has worked with are Houston’s, Dave & Buster’s, Benihana, RA Sushi, Daily Grill, Settebello, Marmalade Café, Umami Burger, Urban Plates and Duke’s Restaurants. He has built restaurants in 12 states from $15,000 remodels to $8M multi-faceted food service facilities.
His retail expertise includes the construction of multiple ground up, stand alone buildings for retail clients such as Bed Bath and Beyond, Staples, The Good Guys and Best Buy. He has completed multiple tenant improvement fit ups and build outs for the Irvine Company, South Coast Plaza, Westfield Design & Construction and RSI Group, ranging from $100K to $2M each.
His extensive experience allows him to continue to develop and manage restaurant and retail construction projects that are successful and exceed the clients expectations over and over again.
Fred has over 25 years experience overall in commercial construction. He is highly capable of handling both the technical and human service aspects of running a construction site, and naturally possesses good time management skills, strong communication abilities, excellent organizational skills and has a thorough comprehensive knowledge of the construction trades.
Fred worked as a rough carpenter while earning his degree in management from San Francisco State University. Soon after graduation, he started working as a field superintendent for a smaller general contractor, thereby allowing him to develop “hands on” management skills. He was soon using these skills to build a variety of construction projects throughout California and Texas, including restaurants, and high end tenant improvements. In 2009, he and his partner, Scott Trestik, opened Pacific Contracting Group, primarily focusing on building high end tenant improvement projects and farm fresh to table restaurants.
Fred has extensive experience in restaurant construction including work outside of California in Dallas and Austin. He has a strong understanding of the hands on portion of construction which he is able to apply to his administrative duties as a project manager.
